I randomly decided to check when I bought this dishwasher, and much to my shock realized:This dishwasher has been used at least twice a day, every day (except vacations) for over 3 years.Yup, I’m not joking. 3 years of use, that started with my husband fighting me using the dishwasher because he was worried about the amount of water wasted, and ended with I’m no longer allowed to touch “his” dishwasher. I haven’t actually seen a dirty dish in months. The silly experiment I used to show the minimal water used by this thing was I plugged the kitchen sink during a cycle and asked my husband to try the same while handwashing. A full 2 hour wash left the sink less than half full. He wasn’t willing to chance the handwash experiment, because it only takes 5 min to fill the sink.At this point, if it fits in the dishwasher, we wash it in there. But one note, if you use oversized plates you may not want to cram the dishwasher full, because there won’t be enough room for the movement of the water, and stuff won’t get clean. We leave a spatula in the extra space we leave between plates. If you use pods, chuck them into the bottom, not the soap holder. And if you use powder or liquid don’t overfill it.You will need a 1/2″ -ish adapter for the water, and for the love of all that is holy, use a rack or something to hold down the discharge hose in the sink, unless you want to clean your floor multiple times. The hose doesn’t always move when discharging, but when it does, it’s channels the Bellagio fountains.
