Halcyon Days Star Spangled Banner Musical Enamel Box

This appealing enamel box by Halcyon Days was created to mark the 75th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner’s adoption as the anthem, in 1931. The box features a flying Stars & Stripes flag, and a quote from the American national anthem. Inside, a miniature mechanical musical box plays an excerpt from the song, along with a commemorative inscription. The history of the anthem is written around the base. The round box is crafted in Bilston from enamel-coated copper. This traditional technique creates the perfect surface for paint, capturing the bright colours of the banner.
