ALPS OutdoorZ Dark Timber Camo Hunting Pack

Excellent hunting pack! Perfect for day hunts. I absolutely love it, not too big, not too small, just right. I do not like a pack that is too big, not only do I tend to pack too much stuff for my day in the field, only to regret it halfway through the day, but things don’t stay put in a large pack, everything just starts to settle down to the bottom, creating a big wad of weight down low and lots of emptiness in the upper half – very uncomfortable. This pack holds just enough for an entire day out: 2.5L hydration bladder, food, first aid kit, rope, 2 extra bottles of water, etc. and does so with just the right amount of space so everything stays where I put it when I first zipped it up. For the money, I really didn’t expect anything special, but the material exceeded my expectations- very soft and quiet when brushing up against branches and things, (arguably the most important part of this pack). Also really like the fact that each compartment has double zippers, this is very handy. And last but not least, I LOVE how they spaced the padding where the pack rests on my back, very comfortable and lets things breathe a little bit. I should also add that I’m writing this review under my wife’s account, I have read other reviews about it being a little small and can see where that could be an issue for a bigger guy, (I am 5’10”, 165lbs. and for my frame, this pack fits like a glove). If you hunt like me, pack on your back, bow in your hand and like to cover some ground each day, this pack is about as good as they come. Are better backpacks made? Absolutely.
