The media could not be loaded. It’s nothing fancy but it’s really cool for the price. There are a few things I wish I’d known beforehand:- It’s bigger than I thought it would be, but it’s also lighter than I thought it would be- It uses a boundary wire and just mows randomly within the area defined by the boundary wire, which is fine for me since I just want it to maintain a small part of my yard I use for soccer training.- The docking station for charging lies in-line on top of the boundary wire and provides current to the boundary wire.- The manual says it requires 12 inches between the boundary wire and any objects. That is *definitely* the actual minimum. There are a couple spots where I cut it real close.- The maximum angle of the boundary wire is something like 110 degrees. That means you have to lay it out without right angle bends, so the boundary wire path ends up a bit rounded- Importantly, the docking station requires 6 feet of more or less straight boundary wire behind it and 3.5 feet in front of it. I ended up having to cut this real close because of where my electrical plug is.- The docking station and mower appear to be rain proof, but the charging adaptor is not. The manual says it much be kept dry. There is a long cord provided so you can keep the adaptor up by the house and protect it with something and still reach the docking station.- It takes some work to install this. You’ll need to score small trench in your yard to bury the boundary wire at the depth of the grass roots.- It doesn’t use a traditional lawnmower blade, it uses three little blades that look like old school double sided razor blades, attached to a spinning disc. Just found that interesting.- If you have sandy parts of your yard, and the robot needs to make a turn there, it may get stuck as one wheel digs in while trying to turn. Only had this happen once and after I packed the dirt down better it was fine.- The manual and the setup screen don’t match. The manual says the time is in military time, but there’s no option to go up past 1900 hours (you can’t put a 2 in the first position). There’s an icon that lights up that looks like a submarine or a wifi signal thing – no idea what that does, it’s not in the manual. I can’t figure out how to get automatic scheduled cutting set up, but I don’t really care about that anyway.- The mowro website recommends a control app that doesn’t exist in the Android store.
