These are derived directly from the Bilstein “Sport” front shocks available here and have all the attributes of the 24-286718 shocks. A simple machine shop modification to the aftermarket “Sport” Bilstein Shocks yeilds a very measured drop of the front suspension. I have an additional mounting point machined into the shock body to lower the spring perch just enough to drop the front fender 1″. I also slightly modify the front shock bump stop to compensate for the change. Doing this allows you to re-use your OEM front springs! The combination of the OEM front spring rate and the new “Sport” Bilsteins is fabulous. These modified shocks are not recommended for installation with any front lowering springs due to the shorter spring length and the front suspension travel. These front shocks fit directly to the SSR, just as they come out of the box, and do not require any modifications or special instructions. As always……. If you are unhappy with these for any reason, just return them and I will be happy to provide a full refund.
