This is a module “return to service” provided by Simple Engineering, LLC that will refresh a failed Chevy SSR Roof Door Module (RDM) for all year models. We work on all part numbers of RDMs. There are two GM part numbers for the RDM and 5 known “VT numbers” on the boxes. Here’s a summary of the numbers that were originally installed by the factory: GM 15134308 (03-04) used VT119199 on the early 2003 and VT121772 on later 2003 and all 2004 GM 15828426 (05-06). used VT125367 on the early 2005, 127473 on late 2005 and VT128654 on later 2005 and all 2006 If your RDM has failed*, you can send it to us for testing and refreshing. Once the necessary work has been completed we will return your RDM in working order. There is no further programming or other activity involved, you simply plug it back in! The fixed price includes all test & repair and all the fees for return shipping by FedEx Air, “Insured” and “Signature required”. For International customers, we may choose to return your module via DHL. ⚠️ * PLEASE NOTE: With only a few exceptions, a failed RDM will “typically” meet most or all the following conditions: Air Conditioning – non-operational Power windows – non-operational Convertible roof – completely unresponsive Cargo (bed) cover – will not open electrically If you have a 2005 or 2006 with the gage pod on the console, the temperature indication will be inoperative. If you have a 2006, the Outside Temperature indication in the IPC will be inoperative. All other cabin features (Radio, Instrument Cluster, Seats, etc.) operate normally. Your roof door module is valuable. For a smooth and speedy transaction, please read all of the following information prior to shipment: If there are additional problems (radio, instrument cluster, seats not working, etc.), your RDM may not be at fault and you should conduct additional troubleshooting with a qualified mechanic or repair shop. Your RDM will be fully inspected and tested prior to a refresh. Should your RDM appear to be working when it arrives, it will go through very thorough bench testing and validation on my SSR before returning to you. Your bill will be for processing, inspection, testing and return shipping fees (typically $200). The balance of funds and your RDM will be returned to you. To avoid this cost, please be sure to confirm that your SSR is in good working order (including a fully charged battery) and the 5 conditions listed above are present. �� Removal and replacement For a step-by-step DIY guide to removing and replacing your RDM, click on “INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS” in the left-hand menu or click here. ✅ BEGIN THE PROCESS BY PLACING AN ORDER: The INVOICE number will be your return authorization. By placing the order, you are instructing us to refresh your unit when it arrives and get it back to you. ✅ AFTER PLACING YOUR ORDER, you must: Print out a copy of the invoice you get on email. The Invoice number is your Return Material Authorization. Write the last five (5) numbers of your vehicle identification number (VIN) on the invoice. Please give a short description of what may have occurred just prior to the failure (jump start, battery replacement, etc.) Feel free to label your RDM with your name, address and phone number. Place this copy of your invoice (including the last five digits of your VIN# and short problem description) in the box with your RDM ✅ WE WILL BEGIN “PROCESSING” YOUR RDM AFTER IT ARRIVES AT SIMPLE ENGINEERING: Once the RDM is in our hands we will change your order from “On Hold” to “Processing”. By changing the order to “Processing”, the website system will automatically send you an email telling you so. If you don’t already have an account, you’re encouraged to create one (just check the box at the bottom of the checkout page when paying for your order). We’ll contact you with any questions. �� SHIPPING: Pack your RDM securely or have a shipping store pack it for you. You may label it as “Fragile” if you like. We strongly recommend shipping your RDM via FedEx Air or UPS Air. International customers may also choose DHL. Simple Engineering cannot be held responsible for your RDM until it is safely in our hands….. so insure your package for a value that you feel reasonable for you to replace it (currently $500 – $1000 used/retail). Typical turn-around time (after Simple Engineering receives your RDM) is 10-15 working days. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: You will not be able to pay for the order when you first place it. Once we have received your order, we will send you an email with an invoice that includes shipping and a link for payment. Although we are currently not charging any additional shipping for international “RDM Refresh” customers, this is the standard process on all international orders. DISCLAIMER: If some entity has worked on your RDM just prior to sending it to us, please let us know who it was and when…. The multi-layer circuit board can possibly be damaged by unqualified personnel. We have the ability to repair nearly anything, but it is really nice to know ahead of time. WARRANTY: This is a lifetime, “one-time charge” for your serial number RDM…. period. We have the historical data on each RDM repaired and returned to service. There will never be any additional charges for keeping your RDM in service….. Just pay the shipping charge to get it back to us and we will service it and return it.
